Pediatricians' use and perception of tele-consultation services during coronavirus disease-19 pandemic

[1] Telemedicine is a wide concept in distantly provided health care service, which uses information and communication technologies for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease and injuries, research and evaluation, and for the continuing education of health care providers. Considering the importance of telemedicine during the course of pandemic, Indian government who had published the guidelines on practice of telemedicine in 2005, revised these in 2020 to focus on medical ethics, data privacy, confidentiality, documentation, digital records of consultation, and process setting of fees for telemedicine. [...]for all these reasons, pediatric professionals should follow a proper structure of telephone consultation. [7] Authors from an Indian study conducted before this COVID pandemic have also mentioned a need for proper training of medical professionals and specific guidelines on medico legal aspect and issue of professional fee for better utilization of telephonic consultation in clinical practice.
