Snippet: A comprehensive mining of potential G-quadruplex forming motifs (SE-PGQs) was performed on 412 completely sequenced strains of S. enterica (Supplementary Table S1 ). The bioinformatics analysis observed a total of 109400 PGQs in 412 strains of S. enterica (Supplementary File S2). Document: A comprehensive mining of potential G-quadruplex forming motifs (SE-PGQs) was performed on 412 completely sequenced strains of S. enterica (Supplementary Table S1 ). The bioinformatics analysis observed a total of 109400 PGQs in 412 strains of S. enterica (Supplementary File S2). Given that, the similar sequence may correspond to similar structure and evolutionarily conserved function, all the predicted PGQs were further clustered by Unweighted Pair Group Method with Arithmetic Mean clustering method using Clustal Omega tool. The conserved-ness is an essential parameter that makes these PGQ motifs suitable to work as promising drug targets. Therefore, next we examined the conservation of each PGQ clustered using the following equation:
