Older age was associated with significantly higher death risk with similar magnitude in univariate and multivariate models. In the adjusted model, every 5-year increase in age was associated with an estimated 20% higher risk of death (p<0.001). No significant hazard difference was found between male and female patients. Disease infection during the early no-intervention period was associated with a higher risk of death, although not statistically significant.
