For this, Java Codon Adaptation Tool (JCat) [57] was used and expression of the cloned MEPVC was assessed by GC % and codon adaptation index (CAI) value. SnapGene (https://www.snapgene.com/) was used to clone the optimized MEPVC cDNA into pET-28a (+) expression vector.
