Title: Individualized System for Augmenting Ventilator Efficacy (iSAVE): A Rapidly deployable system to expand ventilator capacity Document date: 2020_3_29
ID: aarthz9w_7
Snippet: The flow control valve is used to allocate the appropriate VT to each patient. Bacterial/viral filters on each limb prevent cross-contamination between individual patient circuits. The filters also filter expired gas before release into the room through the pressure release valve, thus limiting pathogen exposure to healthcare workers. The oneway valves prevent backflow and mitigates over-distention in cases of rapid flow change. PEEP valves enabl.....
Document: The flow control valve is used to allocate the appropriate VT to each patient. PEEP valves enable the release of excess pressure that may be caused by changes in the flow to each limb. Pressure and flow sensors and a mainstream capnometer are positioned in series with the inspiratory line for set up, titration and monitoring.
