To reach out these TB patients, the NTP adopted the Public-Private Mixed DOTS (PPMD) strategy in 2003 to increase case detection and harmonize TB management among all healthcare providers in the country. Around 6% of the total TB cases nationwide were contribute by this initiative in 2008 (NTCCP-MPO 2014) . Presently, the Philippines' DOTS treatment success is at around 88%, which is higher that the WHO target at 85% (Ong, 2012) .
