Results: In the multiple regression analysis, it was observed that state hope, cognitive control/flexibility, and gender factors predict state anxiety. Conclusion: The research findings reveal that state hope, cognitive control/flexibility, and gender are important factors affecting the state anxiety during the COVID-19 outbreak in Turkey.
