Data show a that heat does not significantly decrease fit factor, however UVGI treatments cause both masks to fail fit testing due to broken straps (prior to fit testing). Figure 12 : Fit testing data for 3M 8511 N95 masks. Heat treatment did not significantly effect fit factor for these masks, 1 mask failed fit testing after UVGI treatment (-35%, p = .42).
