Every province except Quebec explicitly instructs the respondent to self-isolate for 10-14 days (the duration varies by province) from symptom onset in either scenario, a recommendation which is layered with the legal requirement for 14 days self-quarantine by travelers returning to Canada. (19) If Patient A lives in the provinces screening for contact with possible cases (discussed in the previous section) they will be provided with the same guidance.
