Although this pandemic will shape us for many years to come with far reaching impacts, social distancing norms have accelerated technologies that enable services to be delivered remotely, a capability even more necessary in our health care system. By providing care that can be delivered remotely, we can focus in-person care in our hospitals to only the ones who really need it. This allows us to scale our systems, protect lives, and safeguard economic activity.
