Mathematical modelling has been used widely to understand the spread of disease in populations. 7 One of the aims of the modelling is to estimate parameters that are critical to the spread of diseases such as basic reproductive number or R0 and incubation period. 8 This is quite useful in the scenario of early spread of disease to plan future strategies.
