The current article details new upgrades to the guideline methodology including the publication of 'a priori' protocols, methods for assuring agreement between reviewers, adoption of Covidence software for tracking reasons for article exclusion, the establishment of a separate bias panel to improve study quality assessment, an algorithm for study design inclusion, and Delphi Technique implementation for the management and external validation of expert opinion.
