Ovals, rectangles, and diamonds represent individuals who were infected before the shutdown ended, and arrows indicate who infected whom but line lengths are not proportional to time between infections. Purple diamonds are the five initial cases seeded on day 0, and these are the roots of the five transmission trees that comprise this outbreak. The colors of the ovals indicate where people were infected: red for those infected by household members, blue in schools, green at work, and tan in the general community. The larger rectangles are people who were still infectious when the schools re-opened. Transmission events after schools re-opened are not shown. The small printed numbers are unique IDs for each person in the synthetic population.
