A detailed study on the natural history of COVID-19 symptoms, the order and frequency with which they occur will help answer these questions. A second question is for how long after a person has cleared the virus does this symptom persist and whether it is mostly temporary as is the case for anosmia from other viral infections, or if it has a longer persistence in time.
