Cooling System Design of PPE with Simulation

The Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) began spreading in China in mid-November 2019, what was once an epidemic has turned into a pandemic on March 2020. The doctors and the health workers are being treated as a warrior instead of the Army. Wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) for all the health workers is becoming the new normal rule to be protected from the virus. But it is well known that PPE is an annoying kit as it causes immense sweat, increases body temperature due to almost zero air circulation. To eradicate this discomfort, a low cost and lightweight device named “PPE Cooler” has been introduced, which will minimize the discomfort by flowing air, considering the issue of protection from the nano-sized virus. During the trial, it was noticed that a person wearing a PPE kit with the “PPE Cooler” system felt much better than a person wearing a regular PPE kit. The device can also be attached to any PPE kit with the little operation. By using the device, PPE will be no more excruciating to our beloved doctors and their associates. Even the common people can use PPE during their duty and daily life which will help us to defeat not only COVID-19 but also any similar threat in the future. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
