Document: The copyright holder for this preprint (which was not peer-reviewed) is can be made by sample barcoding and high-throughput DNA sequencing. (f-g) Unlike the widely used approach, which includes an RNA extracon step (c) using industrial RNA extracon kits, direct sample tesng circumvents this process, by oming extracon. Instead, aer clinical samples are deposited in transport medium, viral parcles are inacvated either through heang or by direct lysis in detergent-containing buffer. The inacvated samples are then used for the downstream RT-qPCR diagnosc reacon.
