scenario-home isolation paired with a 14-day quarantine of all household members-was the most effective of the three strategies. We believe that quarantine of household members addresses both secondary transmission from the index case as well as the possibility of transmission from other household members that were already infected before the first symptomatic household member was detected. For all scenarios, when we included a delay in testing, introducing a 5-day delay between becoming symptomatic and beginning isolation, the impact of these isolation strategies was reduced ( Figure 4 ). In particular, home and self isolation became equally ineffective, since cases were identified too late to prevent substantial transmission.
