The particularity of Covid-19 lies in the wide range of associated symptoms, and its evolution in about 5% of cases to an acute respiratory distress syndrome. While age remains the main risk factor for developing a severe form of Covid-19, there does not seem to be a specific clinical profile among the elderly, for whom the expression of the disease is closer to that among young adults.
