CQ can be detected in urine months after a single dose. 40 In accordance with the "New Coronavirus Pneumonia Diagnosis and Treatment Program (Trial Version 6)" issued by the National Health and Health Commission in China, the recommended dosage of Chloroquine phosphate tablets is 500 mg BID daily for ten days 9 . In case of severe gastrointestinal symptoms, the dose of CQ can be reduced to 500 mg once daily, or can even be discontinued. During the course of CQ treatment, if the throat swab becomes negative and stays negative for three days, the drug withdrawal can be considered.
