We then study the effectiveness of different vaccination methods (by vaccinating different susceptible compartments) within this model. Our results highlight the fact that the conditions at which a disease becomes extinct are considerably sensitive to the immunological mechanisms of immunity and vaccination, and emphasize the need for efficiency in vaccination schemes.
