Moreover, the reduction of viral yield was 151 independent of the rotavirus strain tested, since BFA also significantly inhibited the 152 replication of SA11 (simian origin), UK (bovine origin), 69M (human origin), and YM 153 (porcine origin) ( Fig 1C) . However, the extent of inhibition differed among the strains; while 154 the replication of SA11 was reduced to a level similar to RRV (about 100-fold), that of 155 rotavirus strains UK, 69M, and YM was reduced by about 10-fold.
