Zdalne nauczanie i uczenie się matematyki w szkole średniej podczas pierwszej fali pandemii Covid-19 z perspektywy wybranych nauczycieli i uczniów∗

The article presents a view of the beginnings of distance learning in Poland (March - June 2020) in the context of teaching mathematics at the secondary level, from the perspective of selected students and teachers. The empirical research on which this article is based was conducted as part of the research related to the performance of a master's thesis1. This research was carried out in two stages. The first presents a view of remote mathematics teaching as perceived by selected teachers and their students obtained from two summative questionnaires. The second one makes a qualitative analysis of teaching polynomials from the perspective of three pairs of participants in this part of the research: the teacher and her student. The article shows various issues concerning remote teaching, analyzes the effectiveness of the forms and methods of this work, signals selected shortcomings and defects both in the work of teachers and students and selected causes of difficulties in the implementation of remote teaching, as well as shows its positive aspects. © 2020 Uniwersytet Pedagogiczny.
