Snippet: Early in the COVID-19 pandemic, the UK National Health Service (NHS) identified multiple myeloma (MM) patients as a "clinically extremely vulnerable" population1 . In contrast, the clinical significance of COVID-19 to MM precursors, monoclonal gammopathy of undermined significance (MGUS)2 and smouldering multiple myeloma (SMM)3 , remains unknown.
