Title: Helicobacter pylori, non-alcoholic liver disease and atrial fibrillation: Is there a link? Cord-id: 7ws3udl8 Document date: 2020_5_11

Snippet: In our recently published study, we reported that nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is associated with increased risk of incident atrial fibrillation (AF). In minimally adjusted models without adjustment for cardiometabolic risk factors, NAFLD was associated with a 65% increased risk of AF. After adjustment for multiple cardiometabolic risk factors, the association between NAFLD and risk of AF was significant attenuated but still higher than that in non-NAFLD (RR 1.19, 95% CI 1.04-1·31).
