We find that the portion of negative samples is 0.67 for early cases and 0.73 for unstratified (overall incubation period) cases in Singapore, and 0.82 (early) and 0.87 (all) cases in Tianjin. Early cases have shorter estimated incubation periods so the fractions are lower. Late cases have higher portions (0.78, 0.98) but this is due to the long incubation estimate and fixed serial interval distribution; it may be influenced by censoring and truncation. Figure S2 illustrates the distributions.
