Document: To assess the risk pattern of disease progression during hospitalization, we performed competing risks analysis on the time-to-event data. The cumulative probability (aka. cumulative incidence function) of severity onset continues to increase immediately after hospital admission, but arrives its change point at day 10 ( Figure 2 ). In contrast, the cumulative incidence of the competing risks event, that is, being discharged because of recovery, is much smaller during the high risk period of severity onset. However, such incidence dramatically increases from around day 12 to 29.
