The Greek Economy in the World

In this chapter, an attempt is made to determine the Greek economy’s initial position in the global economic structure, capturing the key features of the Greek economy in relation to the international environment and referring to Greek and global developments after the great recession caused by Covid-19. This is considered appropriate in order to identify the prospects of the Greek economy in light of the study of alternative scenarios regarding its future course. Also, in order to give a more complete picture, the analysis is extended to the point where socioeconomic conditions affect the relative level of happiness of Greek citizens, which is the final target in terms of the efficiency of the economic system.
