Document: The effectivity of work performance is affected by the job satisfaction of employees. Most important determinants of this satisfaction include physical working conditions, social relationships, possibility of open and direct communication, etc. Shortcomings in this regard will be reflected in the quality of work performance. The COVID-19 Pandemic outbreak in 2020 has changed not only the life conditions of people, but also the work conditions of organizations. This paper focuses particularly on working from home. The risks that employees are exposed to and how teleworking will affect their job satisfaction is the subject of this article. This paper further presents an analysis of a new possible scope of teleworking, which could potentially reduce the job satisfaction of workers and will be contrasted to former research results. The research is fundamentally based on an extensive literature review by using databases, like Web of Science, SpringerLink, SCOPUS, Research Gate, Google Scholar, Bitkom Research, Google Search and Wiley Online Library. 34 studies employing quantitative, qualitative and mixed method designs have been included in the review. The method of qualitative content analysis as outlined by Mayring has been used to analyse the literature and interpret the findings. An elaboration of the theoretical basics targeted for the topic is required for achieving the goal of the paper. The increase of teleworking frequency has a positive influence on job satisfaction;however, it includes some negative aspects related to social and professional isolation and perceived threats in professional advancement. This review may be considered as a complementary support for academics and practitioners. Copyright © 2021. Katja Zöllner and Rozália SulÃková.
