The ship continued her voyage by visiting four ports in the region and returned to Yokohama, Tokyo, Japan on Feb 3 earlier than its scheduled date of Feb 4. The ship was quarantined by the Japanese Government at sea, beginning at 7 am, Feb 5 with 2,666 passengers being asked to stay in their stateroom and 1,045 crew on board.
