After the addition of DEAD, the reaction mixture turned from a white suspension to a yellow solution, which was slowly warmed up to room temperature and stirred overnight. The reaction mixture was then concentrated, loaded onto a 12g SiO2 flash cartridge, and purified with a linear gradient of 20-40% EtOAc in hexanes to afford 3a (446 mg, 0.72 mmol, 69%) as white powder.
