Document: We followed the norm in the time-to-event analysis (aka survival analysis), where the event is defined as a positive test result in the nucleic acid test. The time window is defined as the duration between the time of a patient getting sick and the time of the event (first positive test result) taking place. Since the time of testing positive was not the exact time the patient reached 8 the threshold of enough viral load for testing positive, the time window was indeed interval censored. Some patients' test results remained negative during the data collection. For those patients, their time windows were treated as right censored following the standard treatment in the survival analysis.
