In the SIMR model with a constant parameter β, this is not explicitly taken into account, but the qualitative effect of these measures on the dependence I(t) is obvious. From a comparison of the two lines on the graph, the effect of restrictive measures is visible. They lowered the maximum number of cases by about 25,000, which, with a 6 percent mortality rate, is about 1,500 saved lives.
