Title: Autonomous Targeting of Infectious Superspreaders Using Engineered Transmissible Therapies Document date: 2011_3_17

Snippet: For ART, the model assumes an optimistic 'test-and-treat' deployment [27] where 75% of all infections in both high-risk and low-risk populations are treated with regimens that stop 99% of all HIV transmission [27] . Our test-and-treat model differs from some previous projections [27, 28] by incorporating two additional behavioral factors described in real populations [29] : (i) ART failure or dropout rates that have been measured in sub-Saharan A.....
Document: For ART, the model assumes an optimistic 'test-and-treat' deployment [27] where 75% of all infections in both high-risk and low-risk populations are treated with regimens that stop 99% of all HIV transmission [27] . Our test-and-treat model differs from some previous projections [27, 28] by incorporating two additional behavioral factors described in real populations [29] : (i) ART failure or dropout rates that have been measured in sub-Saharan African populations [30, 31, 32] ; (ii) population risk structure. While our model predicts smaller benefits from test-and-treat programs than some earlier work [27, 28] , the results are consistent with previous ART projections that have incorporated risk structure [12, 33] .
