Again, they returned a very low number of published articles (0 to 40) with the exception of "Modified vaccinia virus Ankara recombination" which returned 93 hits. However, except for three articles dealing with recombination in a risk assessment context [19, 95, 96] , the remainder deal with the construction of recombinant MVA. The PubMed search demonstrated that there is an enormous data pool on the immunogenicity of MVA but little peer-reviewed data on its biosafety or ERA.
