In another experiment, the viral stocks of DENV-1, DENV-2 and AiV were preincubated with a series of dilution doses of leaf methanol extract of F. septica (FS-(L)-M) for 1 h at room temperature. The mixture of virus plus the plant extract was then used to infect A549 cells.
