These species are believed to be more pathogenic and more strongly associated with hospital treatment than RV-B [28] [29] [30] . RV-A and RV-C causing both upper and lower respiratory tract infections were the most frequently detected species in another study that investigated RV infection in immunosuppressed children [31] . In the only case of RV-B reported in that study, the patient had an upper respiratory tract infection. In our study cohort, all episodes with a detected RV infection were hospitalized as a result of their febrile neutropenia, and therefore the severity of the disease in relation to the RV specie was difficult to evaluate.
