Title: Two Novel Parvoviruses in Frugivorous New and Old World Bats Document date: 2011_12_27
ID: 0ewu7e1c_32
Snippet: Additionally, Eh-BtPV-1 was found in all types of tested organs (liver, spleen, kidney, lung, brain, small and large intestine) and, in most cases, at high titers (Table 3 ). Based on quantification assays, it may be possible to identify spleen and kidney as the potential replication sites of Eh-BtPV-1, because virus concentration found here was in most cases (71.4% of spleens and 57.1% of kidneys) at least 10 fold higher than in the blood compar.....

Although a viral filtration activity could not be excluded for these organs since in two cases viral concentration was here lower than in blood.
