Snippet: Viral infection leads to the transcriptional activation of a vast group of genes that are related to the innate immune response genes [74, 75] . Document: Viral infection leads to the transcriptional activation of a vast group of genes that are related to the innate immune response genes [74, 75] . The activity of the products of such genes is aimed at suppressing the processes of viral development, particularly replication and transcription of viral genome, translation of viral mRNAs, and virus assembly [76] . Noncoding RNA genes have been found among the group of genes that are overexpressed during activation of antiviral response, but their role has not been clearly established yet [77, 78] . Recently, the first data on upregulation of the series of snoRNA genes in virus-infected human cells have been obtained [79] . On the one hand, snoRNA can act as mediators of host antiviral response; on the other hand, the activity of regulatory RNAs can be utilized by viruses to evade innate immunity and complete their life cycle [80] .
