To our knowledge, this is the first study to report a conceivable association between ABO blood types and ARDS, AKI, and death risk, and to demonstrate that ABO glycobiology may not play a crucial role in the development of COVID-19. We believe that these findings are indicative since it probed the relationship between blood types and ARDS, AKI, and mortality, in addition to susceptibility or age-related mortality in COVID-19 sufferers.
