Document: Medical records for dogs with PDH treated with twice-daily trilostane therapy between 2008 and 2012 were reviewed retrospectively. Results of ACTH stimulation tests were classified as indicating inadequate, acceptable, or excessive suppression of cortisol production. Details regarding each clinical visit were recorded including comorbid conditions, clinical signs, and clinician decision regarding trilostane dose (increase, no change, or decrease). Baseline cortisol concentrations were evaluated for correlations between ACTH-stimulated cortisol concentrations and the clinician's decisions, with determination of predictive values.
