Document: uces bioavailability of a related macrolide (clarithromycin) by more than 90%, the potent anti-sudorific effect of erythromycin is undiminished by concurrent rifampin administration. Development of a voriconazole-containing thermogel for subconjunctival space (SCS) injection could allow for sustained drug delivery to target tissues and improved success in treating keratomycosis. The purpose of this study was to determine if sustainedrelease of voriconazole occurs when combined with a thermosensitive Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)-b-Poly(ethylene glycol)-b-Poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA-PEG-PLGA) hydrogel in vitro and to characterize SCS thermogel injection in ex vivo equine eyes.
