Document: Urine samples from dogs with TCC/PCA that were treatment-na€ ıve (n = 22) or under treatment (n = 40), dogs with non-neoplastic diseases of the urinary tract (n = 22) or other neoplasms (n = 35), dogs with a urinary tract infection (UTI, n = 45), and a group of healthy control dogs (n = 75) were used. Urinary canine S100A8/A9 and S100A12 were measured in all samples using in-house radioimmunoassays and the uCalR was calculated. All parameters were tested among the different groups of dogs using non-parametric multiple-/two-group comparisons. Sensitivities and specificities were determined for the optimal cut-off values, and positive (PPV) and negative predictive values (NPV) were calculated. Significance was set at P < 0.05.
