Snippet: The significance of the G6PD activity, the IL-1β concentration and the activity of intracellular bacterial clearance from normal and G6PDdeficient patients was evaluated by the Mann-Whitney test. These data were expressed as the mean ± SEM from replicate determinations. The significance of the correlation of G6PD activity and IL-1β was assessed by the Pearson Correlation. Student's t-test was used to compare the mean values from the control an.....
Document: The significance of the G6PD activity, the IL-1β concentration and the activity of intracellular bacterial clearance from normal and G6PDdeficient patients was evaluated by the Mann-Whitney test. These data were expressed as the mean ± SEM from replicate determinations. The significance of the correlation of G6PD activity and IL-1β was assessed by the Pearson Correlation. Student's t-test was used to compare the mean values from the control and G6PD-kd THP-1 cells, and for the comparing of superoxide production (expression as the mean ± SEM from replicate determinations). These data are expressed as the mean ± standard deviation of at least three separate experiments. The difference was regarded as significant when the p value was < 0.05.
